Love at Home is the title of a hymn that discribes what I would like to have in my own home.

I am Rose, I am a married mom of four children, two of which; one boy, one girl; are still at home. My son is 14 and my daughter is 17, she has down syndrome which makes our lives a bit more complicated then we had planned. One of my older son is married and they live not far from me and the other son in attending college a few hours from here.

I am really working on the “good wife” part of my life. Something I struggle with sometimes, but I can tell that my husband apprecaites my efforts.

I am a member of the “Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.” We joined when I was pregnant with my daughter and I know that the Lord led us there. We were going through a very bad spot in our lives and were barely hanging on when our daughter was born and tipped everything into chaos. I have never been so depressed in my life. I do not know how we would have coped without the love and fellowship shown to us by the members of the Church. They helped us both spritually and finacailly and I am forever grateful.

I am not exclusivley a stay at home mom, I quit working 4 years ago and started a small computer support business. I also sell used books at a local market. I do not make nearly the money I used to make but I am not crazy either, so it is worth it to me.

I love working on making my home the kind of place it should be and so I read a lot of home management books and blogs. I am not organized by nature, but with help from the Spirit I am progressing. I am finding that a lot of home mangment has to do with additude, the more I recognize that it is a privlege and blessing to care for this home and this family the more I enjoy it.

I was recently why I call my husband “Loml” when I am writing here. It is to remind me he is the Love of My Life. I was orginally going to call him Bunny, as I do at home but I have such a negitive additude sometimes that I need reinforcement of the proper perspective, otherwise this blog could easily deteriotate into a Bunny bashing festival.

    Hi Rose,
I saw your comment on my friend Annette’s blog. I just wanted you to know that I will be praying for you.
    In Him, Nicole

Thank you Nichole. I appreciate all the prayer I can get.
I am so sorry about Annette. I wish there was a way to make cancer go away for everyone.

You are such an inspiration! I came across your blog today from Mormon Mommy Wars, the article by Hollywood/Sarah about cremation and your comment on it. I hope you don’t mind that I reposted one of your posts (The Royal Life) on my blog. Email me and I’ll give you access to the blog (it’s private for family and friends). I wish I could give you a hug; do you live in ABQ, NM?

    Thanks for stopping Steph!

I wish I was in NM but I am in the bitter cold Mid West, and it is snowing…AGAIN!

I am glad you liked “The Royal Life” I like the way it makes me feel.

I would email, but I can’t find where Word Press puts the addresses on comments.
